We're running a series to highlight and learn more about our CREW Vancouver Sponsors. We asked them a few questions so we can get to know them better.

In what ways does your company support the advancement and empowerment of women in the commercial real estate industry?

Hudson Pacific Properties has an Employee Resource Group (ERG) called Women@HPP that was created to support, develop and advocate for women at Hudson Pacific by building an equitable and inclusive workplace. In 2024, Women@HPP launched a mentorship program, crafted to expand participants’ professional networks, promote career advancement, enhance leadership skills and build connections throughout Hudson Pacific. In addition to this program, Women@HPP also hosts ongoing programming such as professional development workshops and giving initiatives for local charities that support women.

Can you highlight a recent project your company has been involved in that has had a significant impact on the local community or economy?

In May, Bentall Centre raised funds for Mental Health Awareness Month through its Wellness Studio pop-up. This initiative aimed to improve workplace well-being and mental health. In partnership with 12 of Vancouver’s leading wellness and fitness studios, the Wellness Studio offered a series of classes and workshops from yoga, strength classes, breathwork, guided meditation, sound baths and mental health talks. The diverse line up of classes was designed to support every individual’s wellness journey in a space dedicated to movement, mindfulness and meditation. The cost of admission was a donation to Foundry, a mental health organization for young people aged 12-24, and all donations were matched by Hudson Pacific.

If there's one thing you'd like others to know about your company, what would it be?

At Hudson Pacific Properties, we have a leading community impact program that consists of charitable giving, employee donation matching and the Hudson Helps volunteer program. In our Vancouver office, we have a Social Impact Manager dedicated to organizing regular volunteer events throughout the year to support organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, The Greater Vancouver Food Bank and Ronald McDonald House. Last  year, employees volunteered an average of 9 hours each by taking advantage of Hudson Pacific’s annual paid volunteer time-off benefit. By actively helping employees stay engaged with each other and their community in meaningful ways, we showcase the impact an incredible workplace can have on people and culture, all of which are integral parts of how we operate. In 2023, our team was awarded winner of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade 2023 Business Distinction, Community Impact For Profit Category.
