Meet the 2023 Recipients!
We are proud to announce this year’s recipients of the CREW Vancouver and Conwest Award for Women in Real Estate – Aolin Shen and Fiona Chen.
Aolin and Fiona were recognized by CREW Vancouver and Conwest for their exceptional academic standing, strong commitment for extra-curriculars and community involvement, and demonstrated passion for real estate. With a mission to support the advancement of women in real estate and inspire young leaders to pursue a career in commercial real estate, the recipients are also presented with opportunities for mentorship, coffee chats, industry events and building tours.
Aolin and Fiona are both fifth year students specializing in real estate at the UBC Sauder School of Business. In addition to their real estate specializations, Fiona is completing an additional option in marketing, while Aolin is completing a finance option and minor in psychology.
Fiona most recently completed an internship on the Ivanhoe Cambridge Canadian investment team, and also previously interned on Scotiabank’s Commercial Real Estate team. Outside of work and her studies, she enjoys golf and skiing. Aolin’s recent internship experience includes her role at Intelligent City Inc. over two summers, where she worked on both the business development and finance teams. Beyond work, she is passionate about music, playing piano for over 15 years, and recently taking up DJing. Aolin and Fiona are both actively involved in the UBC Real Estate club. They wish to sincerely thank CREW and Conwest’s recognition of their effort and achievements.
CREW Vancouver partnered with Conwest to create this annual award with the UBC Sauder School of Business to honour the memory of Lee Hester, a respected real estate broker, CREW member, and a true ally in our mission to empower women in the commercial real estate industry.
