Speaker

Vickie has over 40 years’ experience in finance and real estate.  She is currently a Corporate Non-Executive Director on the Boards of Westminster Management Corporation (“WMC”), Low Tide Properties and Montrose Property Holdings Ltd.  Vickie retired as President and CEO of WMC in 2022. While at WMC, she was responsible for all facets of the business including assessing acquisition, divestiture, and JV development opportunities, investing in mixed use development projects in the Lower Mainland, Victoria, and Seattle areas, as well overseeing an existing office portfolio of properties.  Prior to joining WMC in January of 2011, Vickie spent 15 years at Belkorp Industries Inc., a large multi-faceted private investment firm. In her role as Senior Vice President, Real Estate, she focused on acquisitions, asset growth and oversite of a large portfolio of commercial investment properties in the US and Canada. Vickie has also held senior level positions with Bank of Montreal, Vancity and First City Trust. She has previously been on the boards of Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland, FICOM and CUDIC.  She holds a BA from University of Victoria and an MBA from University of British Columbia.

Moderator

Our moderator for this Fireside Chat is Jessica Brummell, VP and Region Head of Commercial Real Estate Financing at HSBC Canada. Jessica joined HSBC 15 years ago and has worked in various roles within the Commercial Real Estate team in Vancouver.  In her current role, she leads a team of real estate finance professionals servicing top Vancouver developers across all sectors with a focus on building and maintaining strong relationships. Jessica and her team have built a significant track record in financing many large multi-phase projects in the region, providing a lead mandate on syndicated loans that assist their clients throughout a project’s lifespan, from land acquisition, through servicing and construction.   Prior to HSBC, Jessica lived abroad in London for 3 years where she had her first taste in the industry working at an Irish bank which specialized in real estate finance. Jessica has a BA from the University of Victoria.
