Join us for an important conversation surrounding CREW Network's 2020 Benchmark Study: Gender and Diversity in Commercial Real Estate. Our virtual panel discussion will be moderated by CREW's own Rhonda Holland and features speakers from all over North America: Ross Roy (Vancouver, AB), LaShawn Bates (Tampa, FL), Pauline Hale (Orange County, CA), Jennifer Mazawey (Newark, NJ), and Chantelle Cole (Toronto, ON).

Our diverse panel will be exploring the results and utility of the recently released study, as well as what each of us can do to move the needle in the right direction to advance women in the Commercial Real Estate industry.

Rhonda Holland is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at MasterBuilt Hotels, managing financial strategy, and overseeing financial and treasury functions, corporate development, and investor relations for the company.  Before being named CFO, Ms. Holland started with the company in 2015 as Controller, holding both Director and Vice President roles through her tenure.

Prior to MasterBuilt Hotels, Ms. Holland was Regional Finance Manager at AECOM (ACM – NYSE) in the United States, leading management teams in large scale transportation engineering projects and also held senior accounting roles with Brookfield Residential (BRP – NYSE). She has extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, profit-and-loss leadership, and project management.  Her career began in Sport Administration, managing the day to day financial operations for Hockey Canada through a decade of Gold medal winning performances.

His focus more recently has been on supporting clients with the redevelopment of their existing retail sites—achieving greater densities, mix of uses, and transit-oriented developments (TOD). Recently, he has also expanded into the multi-family residential sector and in particular affordable housing, a sector more critical than ever to Canadians today and one close to Ross’ heart. Ross believes that strong client relationships are the cornerstone of successful projects. From the start, he advocates for his client’s needs, and takes the time to listen carefully so their vision can come to life within budget. He is a Certified Design, Development & Construction Professional (CDP) with the International Council of Shopping Centres and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Vancouver. An active member of the community, Ross is on the Board of Directors for Rosebud Centre of the Arts, is an active musician, and Co-Chairman of the Peter Burgener Memorial Charity Concert—a fundraiser in its seventh year, co-sponsored by Stantec and well on its way to raising over a million dollars for deserving charities.
