In what ways does your company support the advancement and empowerment of women in the commercial real estate industry?

PCI is dedicated to advancing and empowering women in the real estate industry through several impactful initiatives. We offer a comprehensive parental leave package that includes income top-up, ensuring financial support during those important times. Additionally, we provide the flexibility for employees to return to work on a part-time basis after parental leave, accommodating their evolving needs. We also support several of our female team members with CREW memberships fostering their growth, development and connections within the industry. Our commitment is also reflected in our strong female leadership across our Development, Leasing, Asset Management, Marketing, and Finance teams thus demonstrating our dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive work environment.

Can you highlight a recent project your company has been involved in that has had a significant impact on the local community or economy?

The Stories at South Granville Station, situated at the prominent intersection of Broadway and Granville, is a great example of a project that will have significant impact and influence on the local community and economy. The project has received approval for significant density and height following an extensive public hearing, setting a new precedent for the Broadway Plan. This development represents a pivotal moment for the area and the city, highlighting a shift towards embracing mixed-use density and height at key transit hubs. The project, strategically located along the Broadway Subway route, is the first high-density development in the area, directly addressing Vancouver's pressing rental housing needs. Out of the 226 rental homes, 20% (44 units) will be offered at below-market rates, contributing to more affordable housing solutions. The mixed-use development also features a commercial podium with 30,000 SF of neighbourhood-serving retail, including a City Market - Loblaws grocery store, and 110,000 SF of highly amenitized office space. Its prime location, directly above and integrated with the future South Granville Station entrance, ensures convenient transit accessibility and increased activity to the South Granville neighbourhood. The Stories is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by Fall 2025.
