Sponsor Spotlight: Lowtide
Tuesday, Jul 2, 2024
We're running a series to highlight and learn more about our CREW Vancouver Sponsors. We asked them a few questions so we can get to know them better.
We'd like to thank one of our Platinum Sponsors, LowTide Properties.
If there's one thing you'd like others to know about your company, what would it be?
We are really proud of our team. Since being founded in 2010, we have grown to a company with 64 people, all aligned in providing our tenants with the best possible service and committed to community. We have a diverse group of people across the company who are passionate about their work - and a corporate culture that is committed to helping people reaching their full potential, personally and professionally.
Could you share with us a recent project or initiative your company is particularly proud of?
We are really excited about our upcoming Summer Event Series. We began organizing the community events in 2022 as we wanted to celebrate our communities and provide opportunities for people to connect after the pandemic. These events -- held in Strathcona, Gastown and South Flats -- allow us the opportunity to collaborate with other businesses and stakeholders in each neighbourhood. Our next event is our Meet Me in Gastown event on August 15.
Could you share a story or example of a woman in your company who has benefited from her involvement with CREW Vancouver, and how has this experience contributed to her professional growth and development within the commercial real estate industry?
We asked Claire MacDonald, Asset Manager, to detail her involvement with CREW Vancouver and how it's contributed to her professional growth and development:
"I am very grateful for industry organizations like CREW, which provide invaluable opportunities for networking, building relationships, and professional growth. I became involved with CREW while still a student at UBC and was honored to receive the inaugural CREW Vancouver and Conwest Scholarship for Women in Real Estate. This introduced me to the CREW organization as a whole. Since then, I have developed many meaningful relationships through events, volunteering, and participating in the CREW mentorship program.
My involvement in the CREW mentorship program has connected me with some of the industry's top leaders. These relationships have been instrumental in supporting and guiding my career growth. I have gained valuable insights into various aspects of the commercial real estate industry.
CREW Vancouver plays a crucial role in fostering the growth and advancement of women in the commercial real estate industry, and I look forward to continuing my involvement with the organization."
