The goal of the Vancouver Mentorship Program (aka VMP) is to develop a meaningful relationship between the mentor and mentee that will last beyond the timeline established by CREW Vancouver.
Maybe you have a certain career goal in mind, but do not have the firsthand experience or insight needed to achieve your goals. A mentor can help you understand what to expect and plan for it.
Commitment
What you need to know about leading your mentorship experience
All mentees need to:
- Be proactive and take initiative to make the first contact after the introduction
- Arrange at least 4 meetings with your mentor during the program
- Demonstrate an eagerness to learn and ask questions
- Work as a team player and contribute as much as possible to the relationship
- Be patient and accommodate the schedule of your mentor
- Have a positive attitude when it comes to seeking out and receiving feedback
